Tooth brushes

Wow! Once again I am way behind in jotting something down on my blog. Only took me six months to drift away from my New Year's Resolution to blog weekly. Oh well, you know the saying about the best made plans of mice and man etc, etc.

However, this morning when I started to brush my teeth I began to wonder about the evolution of the toothbrush. Odd ball notions tend to form in my brain. So, my question is: Have you looked at your toothbrush lately? I'm not referring to the electric ones or the water picks. I'm talking about the old-fashioned kind...you know the kind where you provide the motion.

I am all for good oral hygiene but to me the best toothbrush is the one you use on a regular basis. However, it seems we now have 'designer' toothbrushes. Some have round sections in the middle. Some have multicolored bristles. Some have rubber-like bristles. Some have small rubberized patches on the top. I imagine that's to clean the roof of the mouth as well as the tongue.

Having taken all of this into consideration I grabbed my good old regular toothbrush, with regular bristles and no fancy 'patches' on the top and went to town on the pearly whites. It felt terrific.

Have a good week.
