It Thursday and I have to admit I have made at least a hundred excuses as to why I did not write a word for the past two days. Shame on me. So I wanted to share a few random thoughts on the subject of discipline.

Besides writing being a pleasure...I mean after all you create a world and you have complete control as to what happens in that world. Let me tell you that is a great power trip.

On the other hand it requires self-discipline. There in lays the problem. Most of us have bucked discipline throughout our lives with a no-one-is-going-to-tell-me attitude. We can do that when it is someone else regulating us via work, government, health needs or whatever.

This week I've had to give myself a good talking to in regard to placing the seat of the pants to the seat of the chair. I listened for two days and only hope I can make it last longer and not let life interfere.

So to all writers who read this I wish you a good week of writing and taking control.
