Finally getting in the groove.

What is the saying about the best laid plans of mice and man oft times going astray. That's what happens with  my Friday blog schedule. Seems I turn around and another week is gone.

I have had ideas I've wanted to share, like finding great characters I hadn't planned on finding. Also listening to NPR because my CD player went kerflooey. (That is a personal word that I love.) You learn a lot during a 14 hour drive...one way. Imagine what I learned on the round trip. So I have all this good material now I just have to place the seat of the pants into the seat of the chair and get to work.

Will have to hustle because I'm off on another trip in two weeks but I will try to bring something interesting to the blog. Right now I am doing some 'green' research because I do write contemporary stories. (Whoops, had to stop for a few minutes to bring in the sheets...it looks like rain and I do hang clothes on the line.)

Here a re a few facts I have learned about ecological responsible:

Ceiling fans use 2% as much energy as air conditioners, so keep the fans on and the a/c low to keep out humidity. Of course I know that is not going to fly with everybody.

On average it costs about $30 to recycle a ton of trash and $50 to put it in a landfill.

The ratio of tons of garbage dumped into the oceans related for every ton on fish caught is 3:1.

Now that I've dazzled you with a few pertinent 'green' facts, I'll sign off.

Have a great reading week.
