Day in the life of an author

Spent the day working on edits. Redoing and revamping things I should have done in the first place. Funny how this writing thing works. When  the story is being written the words from from the brain to the fingers to the key board. However, somewhere in that journey there must be a, no, several forks in the road. because when you reread the piece during the edit period you have to wonder why you didn't add this detail or delete all that drivel.

When we find the true connection between the brain and the fingers we will all be writing best sellers.

In the mean time we have to work on the premise that you can't make it up fast enough and truth is stranger than fiction.

You don't think so? Sit in a local mall, wear dark glasses and pretend to read a newspaper. You will be amazed at what goes on.

Maybe that's my problem with this edit...I need to head for the mall.
