At last the cast is off

I'm not totally to use my right hand but after four weeks of being in a cast a hand brace is wonderful. Why? Because I don't have to wear it 24/7 and I can get back to what I love doing...writing. Now I have to retrain myself to use my right hand to use the mouse as well as type with the right hand. It is amazing what you can do with your left hand when you have to. One big challenge was putting on make-up. There were times when I felt like the female character in the movie "Airplane" who was trying to put on eye make-up when the plane hit an air pocket. Another challenge was trying to brush my teeth as well as blow dry my hair. Good thing I had enough sense to get a very short hair cut prior to surgery. Cooking presented another problem. His Lordship loves onions so he had to chop them. I know I could have bought frozen ones but, hey, now he appreciates what goes on in the kitchen. Now I have a reprieve until I have the left hand done in August. The upside...I'm right handed.
