Writing daily

Technology is wonderful. I know I would not be able to keep up a decent word count if I had to hand write a manuscript. I used to keep my word count by hand and did fairly well. Then I discovered how to do the word count on my old Word program and I thought that was terrific. Then progress reared its head and said the program you are using now belongs in the Smithsonian Institute. Actually, it was my wonderful nerd, David, who very kindly informed me that the programs I was using were antiques. Was he ever right. It is amazing what a new learning curve can produce. I am no longer obsessed with word count but more with content because all I have to do is let my eyes wander to the lower left hand corner of my screen and there it is. Since it is so handy I don't find myself checking there as often as I had in the past. So far the ideas have been flowing. If I can keep that going I will up my ability to write more stories. You should see the smoke rising from my key board as I increase my production. (Try to picture a big smile. Until next time, stay warm and read.
