An early Merry Christmas greeting

I can say that rather than 'Happy Holidays' because, as far as I am concerned, once Thanksgiving is over the proper greeting is Merry Christmas.

Today his Lordship and I started decorating a day early. For a man who does not like to decorate for Christmas he is the first one to turn the lights on once the sun goes down. Go figure!

Anyway, we had our annual conundrum today. Where is the angel for the top of the tree? This seems to be an annual occurrence for more years than I care to admit to at this time. We searched closets, bins in the garage and various other places where it could be without success. I even took time to have lunch, write my words for the day and put the laundry away. Alas, no success.

At that point I decided to take another gander out in the garage after many prayers to St. Anthony, the patron of lost items. I am sure when he heard me he said, "What, you again about that darn angel." Would you believe, there was the box in plain sight with 'Christmas Angel' across the top flap in black magic marker?

Now we can begin our celebration. It would not have been the same with our angel.

Hope y'all have had a great kick start to your Christmas season.
