'Tis the season

Ah, the season is just about upon us and I can feel the excitement building up. I was never one to even think about Christmas until after Thanksgiving and I haven't changed that at all. However, if I hear the Little Drummer Boy one more time I may go stark raving mad. Honestly, we do have other songs of the season. Do our radio stations that play Christmas music from Thanksgiving until Christmas Day just have one continuous loop?

Personally, I have many Christmas CD's by various artists and rarely hear some of those songs on the radio. I love the carols and I love the novelty songs. My particular favorite is "Mrs. Fogerty's Christmas Cake" by the Irish Rovers. When I hear that about to play I stop what I'm doing and listen.

Right now I am going to kick back with a nice glass of wine and listen to Mannheim Steam Roller followed by some mellow Sinatra. It is a dreary overcast day so the Christmas lights are soothing and it is time to listen to the music.

Have a wonderful day and a very Merry Christmas to all.
