I could not believe so much time had passed since I last jotted down a note on my blog. Flog me with a noodle.
Gee whiz Christmas, which was spent in New Hampshire with our daughter and son-in-law, was very cold and I did not have to dream of a white Christmas.
Now we are in to a new year and keeping very busy. My friend Gwyn and I have been participating in a lot of craft fairs and gatherings promoting our books. One question people keep asking me is where do I get my ideas for plots. I did not have to scratch my head an think about it at all. The answer is music.
I love to listen to the words of the songs and quite often while I am doing this a story starts to form and I go on from there. So far that has worked out well for me.
Then this morning I was driving along listening to the oldies, some were from the 60's. Ah yes the age of the flower children. I have to wonder if anyone has actually listened to some of the words to the songs. The only way some of them made sense is if you were on drugs. I don't want to refer to specific songs because enough time has not passed so that they have become public domain. Needless to say, while I find them entertaining, I do not find them inspirational.
If you have a little time on your hands take a few minutes and really listen to the lyrics. See if we are of the same opinion.
Have a great week and I hope to touch base with y'all next week...honestly, I do.
