Good morning. And it is a good morning. The galley is finished and the manuscript is is on the way to the printer. However, I am still in the stage/phase of I can't believe this is really happening to me. I keep waiting for someone to say Ha! Ha! I fooled you. But my dear friend, Gwyn, gives me a swift kick and tells me to wake up to the realization that my book is going into print.
You know, especially if you are a writer, that you write...write...then write some more. One book becomes two, then three, then...I don't have to go on because y'all know how to count. You submit. You get rejections. As I have said many times, I've been turned down more than the beds at the Holiday Inn. You think it is never going to happen and then you get 'the call'.
I must say this has been an interesting journey, but as the song says "...we've only just begun". Now comes the new learning curve of marketing. But, I really feel that learning is what keeps us young.
So, in closing, I wish everyone a blessed Easter, Passover or whatever rite you celebrate at this time of year.
