That time of year...

I hear it's that time of year when the world falls in love! One has to wonder with all the hustle and bustle where one finds the time to do that. The holiday season gives credence to the saying that I met myself coming and going. However, all the comings and goings have been great fun.

Spent yesterday with my TARA friends in Tampa at our annual Christmas party. It was held at the St. Petersberg Yacht Club. As always we had a blast at our get together. The delicious dinner was followed by the gift exchange. It has a proper name that involves the word Chinese. I can never remember the actual title so I refer to it as Chinese takeaway. In essence you get to take away the item, ornament, chocolate of your choice...if you are lucky.

Then last evening was spent with my daughter, Kate. She has a lovely gathering at her home. It was filled with good conversation, good food and great people.

Tomorrow Kate, my dear friend, Gwyn and I head out for Orlando to attend my granddaughter's post-graduation reception hosted by the English department at UCF (University of Central Florida). Thursday Gwyn and I head back to Orlando to spent the day at Disney. I keep hearing strains of Willie Nelson's On the Road Again running through my mind.

Hope y'all take time to kick back and rest and really enjoy the Christmas season. It really is that time of year when the world falls in love.
